Silvan Made makes frames, trays and boxes from earthquake timber that has been recovered from Ōtautahi Christchurch’s red zones.
Husband and wife team GT and Deb have set about to prove that waste generated from the earthquakes can be recycled and reused in a caring and thoughtful way.
Everything is lovingly handmade, and each piece has its own character and place of origin. You can find the wood type and information about where it has come from written on the back of each piece.
